Statement - Media Breakfast

On 3rd September, 2021, ZAGO President Dr Swebby Macha communicates with the Zambian people through a media breakfast on the progress made via SafeChoices campaign, which is designed to address one of the major health problems facing Zambia: Unsafe Abortions. Dr Macha updates the media that through SafeChoices campaign, many Zambians are now aware that safe abortion is legal in Zambia and the service is accessible for free in all public health facilities. Dr Macha is alive to the fact that maternal mortality can only be addressed if majority Zambians are well informed to enable them to make informed decisions about their health. ZAGO believes that no woman or adolescent girl should die due to complications of unsafe abortions.
